A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL COMMENDING OFFICER DAVID CAMERON
ON HIS 30 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
WHEREAS, Officer Cameron became a Reserve Police Officer in March 1989 and
a full time Police Officer in July 1998; and
WHEREAS, Officer Cameron was most recently assigned as a financial crimes
investigator to the Special Enforcement Division; and
WHEREAS, Officer Cameron has served in many specialty assignments including
as a traffic motor officer, a member of the Major Accident Investigation Team, Crime
Scene Response Team, Field Training Officer, Financial Crimes Investigator, Computer
Forensic Examiner, and Bike Patrol Team; and coordinated the creation of the
Campbell Police UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) program; and
WHEREAS, Officer Cameron honorably served as a member of the Special
Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, serving as a team medic and assistant team
leader for over 19 years; and
WHEREAS, Officer Cameron has always had a commitment to providing excellent
service to the Campbell community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell recognizes and commends Officer David Cameron on his retirement from the
City of Campbell after 30 years of service.
