A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE RE -APPROPRIATION OF BUDGET FUNDS FOR HERITAGE
THEATRE MAINTENANCE AND ENHANCEMENT PROJECT IN FISCAL YEAR 2020
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted the operating budget for Fiscal Year (FY)
2020; and
WHEREAS, City Council originally approved a budgetary appropriation of $200,000 for
the Heritage Theatre Maintenance and Enhancement Project via Resolution #12153 on
May 2, 2017, with funding coming from the Theatre Preservation Reserve Account
(101.3666) in the General Fund; and
WHEREAS, not all the funds for these projects were expended or encumbered by the
end of FY 2019; and
WHEREAS, any project funds not encumbered by the fiscal year end require Council
approval to be re -appropriated;
WHEREAS, the Theatre Preservation Reserve Account was established specifically to
fund improvements and enhancements to the Heritage Theatre; and
WHEREAS, there are adequate funds available in this account to replace proposed
equipment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council approves re -appropriation
of $104,996 into FY 2020 via a budget increase to expenditure account 101.529.7427
(General Fund — Theater — Improvements Other Than Building) and a decrease to the
balance of account 101.3666 (General Fund — Theatre Preservation Reserve) for the
maintenance and enhancement projects outlined at the May 2, 2017 Council meeting.
