A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
ACCEPTING $10,000 DONATION FROM DAVIS FAMILY TO THE
LANDSCAPE MEMORIAL FUND AND AMENDING THE CITY'S OPERATING
BUDGET FOR FY 2019-20 AS NECESSARY
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby accepts a monetary donation of $10,000,
from the Davis Family to the Landscape Memorial Fund; and
WHEREAS, the donation will provide funding for the purchase, installation, and
maintenance of a memorial bench at Hyde Park in honor of Richard G. Davis, past
president of Campbell Rotary Club Foundation; and
WHEREAS, the request follows the format outlined in Council Policy Section
10.2 Commemorative Activities and Landscape Memorial Fund; and
WHEREAS, City Council Policy Section 3.6 requires that gifts valued at $500 or
more may only be accepted by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the donation will be deposited into the revenue account
207.775.4818 (Parks Donations); and
WHEREAS, costs will be charged to expenditure account 207.775.7428.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby accepts a donation of $10,000 from the Davis Family for the Landscape
Memorial Fund and approves a $3,000 budget appropriation increase in expenditure
account 207.775.7428, offset by a $10,000 revenue estimate increase in account
207.775.4818.
