A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
ACCEPTING MODIFICATIONS TO THE CITY COUNCIL POLICY SECTION 10
MISCELLANEOUS SUBSECTION 10.16 PROCEDURE FOR LEASE NEGOTIATIONS
FOR SPACE AT THE CAMPBELL COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell established guidelines for Council review of lease
negotiations in 2005; and
WHEREAS, more than half of existing tenants exceed the threshold of $50,000 annual
impact; and
WHEREAS, annual CPI increases have occurred at a minimum of 3% annually; and
WHEREAS, thresholds for annual impact have not been adjusted since 2005; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager is authorized to sign leases below outlined thresholds; and
WHEREAS, CPI increases will continue annually;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby
authorizes the modification to City Council Policy 10 Miscellaneous Subsection 10.16
Procedure for Lease Negotiations for Space at the Campbell Community Center to change
guidelines that trigger Council approval to increase the annual impact to $75,000 for new
tenants and authorize the City Manager to approve existing lease renewals up to $100,000.
