CC Resolution 12555RESOLUTION NO. 12555 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THREE NEW FORD INTERCEPTOR UTILITY VEHICLES BY USING A CALIFORNIA STATE ePROCUREMENT AWARDED CONTRACT WHEREAS, procurement of three new marked patrol cars are funded in the FY 2019/20, Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance Budget; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the City of Campbell's Purchasing Policy if the equipment's estimated fair market value is greater than $50,000 Council approval is required; and WHEREAS, Ford Interceptor Utility Vehicles have been identified as the recommended replacement vehicle for the existing Chevy Caprice Sedan and wrecked Chevy Caprice Sedan and wrecked Ford Interceptor for the purposes outlined in the preceding report; and WHEREAS, staff is requesting the purchase of three new Ford Interceptors at a cost of approximately $52,000 each for a total cost of $156,000; WHEREAS, the Public Works Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance Budget includes $495,000 for the purchase of nine replacement vehicles-, WHEREAS, staff recommends purchasing two additional Ford Interceptors (for a total of three) and deferring other heavy equipment replacement purchases; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. that the City Council of the City of Campbell approves the purchase of three new Ford Interceptor Utility Vehicles using the California State eProcurement Contract in an amount not to exceed $156,000. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to execute purchase agreements for procurement of this equipment.
