A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING ALFRED I. BITO FOR 22 YEARS OF SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF CAMPBELL UPON HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, Al Bito began his career with the City of Campbell on May 21 , 1997, as an
Administrative Analyst II in the City Manager's Office; and
WHEREAS, Al Bito's positive and approachable demeanor has made him one of the City's
most knowledgeable and endearing ambassadors; and
WHEREAS, in his 22 years of service Al has served the City of Campbell as an Assistant to
the City Manager, Interim City Manager, Deputy City Manager: and
WHEREAS, Al Bito has strong connections to numerous neighborhood leaders, business
owners, elected officials, and peers at various state, city, county and school districts in the
region; and
WHEREAS, Al Bito has led numerous projects and initiatives that have shaped the City of
Campbell such as launching the City's cablecasting service, managing Capital
Improvement Plan budget, and liaison to the Civic Improvement Commission; and
WHEREAS, Al has helped craft revenue measures approved by the voters of Campbell to
fund city services, public safety, and renovations to the Library and Police Department
buildings; and
WHEREAS, during his service to the City of Campbell, Al has been a key member of the
city workforce family, and without exception, he is considered a friend by all.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does
hereby express its sincere appreciation to Alfred I. Bito for 22 years of dedicated, valuable,
and outstanding service.
