CC Resolution 12593RESOLUTION NO. 12593 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA TO PROVIDE COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE AND TECHNICAL SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF CAMPBELL, AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE FUTURE AMENDMENTS AND/OR AGREEMENTS WHEREAS, Santa Clara County Communications has provided radio maintenance and repair services without a formal agreement for many years; and _. WHEREAS, the Campbell Police Department will be transitioning to the regional interoperable communications network known as Silicon Valley Regional Communications System (SVRCS); and WHEREAS, SVRCS requires licensing, implementation, maintenance, repair and mandatory programming utilizing specialized equipment; and WHEREAS, the Campbell Police Department received a proposed agreement from Santa Clara County Communications that formalizes the existing practice of providing communication equipment maintenance, repair, and technical services; and WHEREAS, the term of the agreement shall commence on July 1, 2020 and shall terminate on June 30, 2025, unless terminated sooner by either party, or extended for an additional five-year term. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement regarding services provided by Santa Clara Communications related to the maintenance and technical services of the Police Department's communication system, and authorizes the City Manager to execute future amendments and/or agreements.
