RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
ADOPTING LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY PRINCIPLES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell established the Legislative
Subcommittee for the purpose of reviewing and recommending a position regarding legislation
impacting the City; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Subcommittee recommends the adoption of the Legislative
Advocacy Principles in order to advance the City's objective of actively advocating, protecting,
and advancing the City's interests as new legislation is developed at various levels of
government; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Advocacy Principles establish the objectives and process
the Legislative Subcommittee shall utilize in order to take a position on legislative bills in a
timely manner; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell is committed to informing the public about its
legislative advocacy efforts via the City's established information and engagement
channels; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL that it hereby adopts the Legislatiave Advocacy Principles as Section1.31 of the
City Council Policy Manual.
