A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING JILL LOPEZ FOR 20 YEARS OF SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF CAMPBELL UPON HER RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, Jill Lopez began her career with the City of Campbell on October 23, 2000, as
the Human Resources Manager in the City Manager's Office; and
WHEREAS, Jill was responsible for overseeing and implementing effective human
resources practices that included recruitment, benefits, negotiations, workers'
compensation, employee relations, employee recognition, the volunteer program, safety,
training and development; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of exemplary leadership, dedication and integrity, she was
instrumental in fostering a positive workplace culture, encouraging collaboration and
communication in the best interests of all employees; and
WHEREAS, She ensured every City employee was treated with dignity, respect, and
ensuring inclusiveness, diversity, and fair employment practices; and
WHEREAS, She has displayed commitment to her human resources profession, which has
resulted in important, significant and lasting contributions to the work-life of all employees;
and
WHEREAS, Jill has provided guidance and advise to Directors, Managers, and Supervisors
on applying appropriate actions regarding a variety of personnel matters; and
WHEREAS, during her service to the City of Campbell, Jill has been a key member of the
City workforce family, and without exception, she is considered a friend by all.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does
hereby express its sincere appreciation to Jill Lopez for or 20 years of dedicated, valuable,
and outstanding service.
