A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE A
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR CITY SURVEYOR SERVICES
AND NEGOTIATE AND AWARD THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Subdivision Map Act requires a California licensed land surveyor to
review and sign all subdivision maps as the City Surveyor; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to solicit consulting services for the purpose of reviewing
and signing parcel and tract maps by a licensed land surveyor acting as the City
Surveyor; and
WHEREAS, additional land surveying services may be required on an as needed basis;
and
WHEREAS, the existing agreement with CSG Consultants, Inc. is almost eight years
old and the City desires to demonstrate it is obtaining the most efficient and competitive
services and rates; and
WHEREAS, A new agreement would be negotiated to take effect beginning July 1,
2021, and would initially be a two-year agreement with the option to renew the term with
up to five (5) additional one (1) year extensions for a total of seven (7) years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby
1. Authorizes the City Manager or his designee to issue a request for proposals
for City Surveyor services.
2. Authorizes the City Manager or his designee to award a consultant services
agreement to the most qualified firm for a period of two (2) years plus options
to renew five (5) additional one (1) year extensions for a total of seven (7)
years.
