A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING DONNA RICE FOR THIRTY-SEVEN YEARS OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, Donna Rice was hired by the City of Campbell on February 20, 1984 as the
Recreation Program Coordinator for the Campbell Senior Center; and
WHEREAS, Donna Rice has made enormous contributions to the development and
success of the Adult Center's classes and Trips Program; and
WHEREAS, Donna Rice pioneered special events including the Santa Clara County
Senior Olympiad, Ice Cream Social, Everybody's Birthday, and Holiday Tea; and
WHEREAS, Donna Rice collaborated with various agency partners including the
Metropolitan Adult Education Program, Campbell Adult and Community Education,
West Valley Community College, Kanen Tours, and Talbot Tours to provide educational
programs and trips for older adults; and
WHEREAS, Donna Rice has made a significant impact to the health and wellness of the
Campbell Senior Community by promoting fitness and socialization and by providing
resources to seniors and families; and
WHEREAS, Donna Rice demonstrated teamwork and dedication as a valuable staff
member of the Recreation and Community Services Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
does hereby express its appreciation to Donna Rice for thirty-seven years of
outstanding service and offers its best wishes for a fulfilling retirement.
