BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL CONGRATULATING
ARMIN JR McKEE, 2020 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS, Armin JR McKee was selected by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce as
the 2020 Citizen of the Year in recognition of his commitment and significant contributions
to the Campbell community, and will be honored on March 20, 2021, at the annual
"Celebrate Campbell" banquet; and
WHEREAS, JR McKee serves as Vice President of the Campbell Historical Museum and
Ainsley House Foundation; and
WHEREAS, JR McKee volunteers each week of the Summer Concert Series in the food
booth cooking and serving items to attendees; and
WHEREAS, JR McKee has been a longtime member of the Campbell Kiwanis Club and
has previously served as Board President; and
WHEREAS, JR McKee, chairs the annual Campbell Eggstavaganza egg hunt and parade,
walking along the Kiwanis float handing out Easter eggs; and
WHEREAS, JR McKee, is an incredibly involved advisor to the Westmont High School,
Campbell Kiwanis Key Club; and
WHEREAS, JR McKee drives the teens to weekend leadership trainings, District
Conventions and attends their District Council meetings; and
WHEREAS, JR McKee helped wildfire victims by cooking and serving food to evacuees,
collecting school supplies for displaced students, and organizing donations to purchase
laptops for affected teachers.; and
WHEREAS, his attitude and community spirit exemplifies the qualities of the Campbell
Citizen of the Year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
congratulates Armin JR McKee on being named Campbell's 2020 Citizen of the Year and
recognizes her service and involvement in the Campbell community.
