SUBJECT:
Parkinq on Poplar Avenue betWeen Maple and
Campbell Avenue.
The City Traffic Engineering Department has been
requested to consider helping remove all-day parking of
employees from those Ainsley properties on both sides of
Poplar at Campbell Avenue. Certain important on-street
parking must be provided for customers of those professional
offices along Poplar Avenue. .
It is understood that you have been contacted in the
past and requested to park in the parking lot provided by
the Ainsley Corporation between Poplar and the Los Gatos
Creek north of the professional office buildings. We have
taken several deliberate parking studies and have found that
you, as a car owner, are perhaps using on-street parking
that should be available for customer use. We would ask
your cooperation, at this time, by using the provided parking
lot and would cer~ainly indicate to you that if we do not
receive this cooperation, then, in all likelihood, we must
approach the City Council for approval of a limited time
parking in the subject area which would, of course, affect
everyone. Your cooperation in using the provided parking
lot will eliminate the City's entering into controlled
parking and will, I am sure, improve various relationships
between the tenants of the Ainsley Corporation properties
in this area.

1- Did not know I was breaking any law by parking on Poplar st-
Understand that is a public street and I see nò parking limit
signs.
2- Very suprised to learn the Ainsley Corporation owns said street.
3- Regarding force~parking in lot, its a very dangerous place along
that creek bank and very 'Poor lighting. a good place for aobs to
collect.
4- I parked there along creek bank for some time and had the battery
stolen from TJJ3 car. The .Linsley Corporation did not pay for the new
battery or tow car charges.
5= Each day I can see why there is so much hate in this country by people
being pushed around.
