CC Resolution 12700 RESOLUTION NO. 12700 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL COMMENDING PAUL G. KERMOYAN FOR MORE THAN 11 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF CAMPBELL UPON HIS RETIREMENT WHEREAS, Paul Kermoyan began his career with the City of Campbell on July 27, 2009, as Planning Manager and Secretary to the Planning Commission in the Community Development Department; and WHEREAS, Paul was responsible for many projects including collaborating with residents of the Cambrian Park and Central Park neighborhoods resulting in annexation into Campbell in 2013, the Opa! development project in Downtown Campbell and transformation of the former Mervyn's site to a thriving shopping center; and WHEREAS, after serving as Interim Community Development Director, Paul was appointed Community Development Director on April 15, 2013, to administer the City's General Plan and oversee the Planning, Building, Housing, Code Enforcement and Economic Development Divisions; and WHEREAS, Paul's collaborative efforts helped Campbell's citizens maintain their sense of community through implementation of the General Plan's vision-setting goals and policies resulting in the City Council-adopting the updated Land Use and Transportation Element, and establishing the Housing Element and Accessory Dwelling Unit development standards; and WHEREAS, Paul oversaw and collaborated with stakeholders to develop and implement the City Council-adopted Pruneyard Master Use Permit, Campbell Village Neighborhood Plan and Economic Development Plan; and WHEREAS, Paul maintained a thorough understanding of planning principles and practices and knowledge gained from his 33 years of public service in planning and community development to help advance the interests of the City of Campbell. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does hereby express its sincere appreciation commending Paul G. Kermoyan for dedicated and valuable service for more than 11 years.
