A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING ALEX MORDWINOW FOR MORE THAN NINE YEARS OF SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF CAMPBELL UPON HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, Alex Mordwinow began his career with the City of Campbell in December
2012 as a Maintenance Superintendent in the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, Alex has been working for the City of Campbell for more than nine years
and has been working in local government for more than 35 years; and
WHEREAS, Alex has managed all of the City's maintenance and operations sections
and has successfully implemented process improvements to improve how maintenance
services are provided throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, Alex has continued to develop staff through education and experience to
improve their ability to provide service to the Campbell community; and
WHEREAS, Alex has created and implemented the use of maintenance zones to allow
City staff to address maintenance issues in a more pro -active manner; and
WHEREAS, Alex has successfully identified opportunities for community groups and
individuals to participate in maintaining and improving City parks and facilities and has
significantly increased volunteer participation throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, Alex has been a longstanding member of the City's Safety Committee and
has continuously demonstrated his concern to maintain safe conditions for all Campbell
residents and City staff; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
does hereby express its appreciation to Alex Mordwinow for more than nine years of
dedicated, professional, and valuable service to the Campbell community and best
wishes for a fulfilling retirement.
