RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL APPROVING
UPDATED SALARY SCHEDULES FOR PERMANENT PERSONNEL EFFECTIVE JANUARY
10, 2022 AND TEMPORARY PERSONNEL EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2022
WHEREAS, California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) issued
Circular Letter 200-050-16 dated November 4, 2016 as a reminder to employers of the
requirements for compensation earnable and publicly available salary schedules; and
WHEREAS, all employers must comply with the compensation earnable and publicly
available salary schedules provisions contained within California Government Code (GC)
section 20636(d) and California Code of Regulations (CCR) 570.5; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City Council to review and duly approve and adopt in
accordance with requirements of applicable public meetings laws a publicly available salary
schedule; and
WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved salary adjustments for positions within
the labor groups shown in Table 1 pursuant to negotiated agreements or implementation:

WHEREAS, due to the enactment of Senate Bill (SB) 3, the California minimum wage
will increase to $15.00 per hour, effective January 1, 2022, for employers with 26 or more
employees; and
WHEREAS, per Senate Bill 3 as well as to address position compaction and salary
range issues, the City is required to amend salary rates for several temporary part-time
positions shown in Table 2 below in bold italics:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does
hereby approve the updated Salary Schedules shown as Attachment B for permanent
personnel (effective January 10, 2022) and Attachment C for temporary personnel (effective
January 1, 2022) and incorporated by reference.
