A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF SEVEN (7) 15-GALLON TREES
FROM THE ROTARY CLUB OF CAMPBELL AND THE WEST VALLEY
ROTARY COMMUNITY CORPS IN SUPPORT OF ARBOR DAY 2022
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell and the Rotary Club of Campbell have a long
history of working collaboratively on projects that benefit the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has been observing Arbor Day events for more
than 40 years; and
WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Campbell sponsors the West Valley Community
Corps in an effort to better serve and improve communities; and
WHEREAS, City staff has identified a location in Campbell Park that is in need of
tree planting; and
WHEREAS, the City will be hosting its 2022 Arbor Day observance in Campbell
Park on April 29, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the donation of the park trees will enhance Campbell Parks
aesthetics by providing shade and fall color.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby accepts the donation of seven Acer Rubrum (Red Maple),
Autumn Blaze trees with an estimated value of $1,000 to be planted during the
City's 2022 Arbor Day event at Campbell Park.
