A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
CONGRATULATING RECYCLE BOOKSTORE ON THEIR SELECTION AS 2021
BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS, Recycle Bookstore has been selected by the Campbell Chamber of
Commerce as 2021 Business of the Year in recognition of successful business
operations in the Campbell community, and was honored on March 19, 2022 at the
annual "Celebrate Campbell" banquet; and
WHEREAS, Recycle Bookstore opened its downtown Campbell location in 2004; and
WHEREAS, Recycle Bookstore is a reader's paradise, an oasis of diverse culture,
education, and entertainment and a place to lose yourself browsing the shelves; and
WHEREAS, Recycle Bookstore holds numerous free book readings, signings, and
generously support local writers and authors from all walks of life, including minority and
marginalized groups; and
WHEREAS, the Recycle Bookstore's Book Club offers the chance for community
members to safely gather and discuss the latest selections on a regular basis; and
WHEREAS, the Recycle Bookstore sponsors a collection of books and toys year-round
for schools and community organizations which helps to foster and support numerous
community reading programs; and
WHEREAS, the Recycle Bookstore' staff is friendly, knowledgeable and always ready to
make a recommendation or to help dig up that elusive work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
congratulates Recycle Bookstore, on being named Campbell's 2021 Business of the
Year and recognizes their valued service to the Campbell community and continued
involvement in civic endeavors.
