A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING SERGEANT DAVID MENDEZ ON HIS 25 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL
WHEREAS, Sergeant David Mendez became a Police Officer in January 1997; and
WHEREAS, Sergeant Mendez has served as a Patrol Officer, Agent, Traffic
Supervisor, Watch Commander, and Detective; and
WHEREAS, Sergeant Mendez has served in many specialty assignments including
Field Training Officer, Major Accident Investigations Team Supervisor, and Reserve
Coordinator; and
WHEREAS, Sergeant Mendez was assigned to the Santa Clara County Specialized
Enforcement Team as a Narcotics Detective and ultimately as the Team Leader; and
WHEREAS, Sergeant Mendez has honorably served as a member and team leader
of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team for over 22 years; and
WHEREAS, Sergeant Mendez has always had a commitment to providing excellent
service to the Campbell community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
recognizes and commends Sergeant David Mendez on his retirement from the City of
Campbell after 25 years of service.
