A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE DONATION FROM 8x8 INC OF TWO
FLOCK ALPR CAMERAS
WHEREAS, the Police Department entered into 'a two-year contract with Flock
Group Inc. for the lease of fixed ALPR cameras in an effort to enhance public safety,
improve officer efficiency and solve crimes; and
WHEREAS, The Campbell Police Department has endeavored to create strategic
partnerships within our local business community with the shared goal of improving public
safety and creating a thriving business environment; and
WHEREAS, The 8x8 Inc headquarters are located within the City of Campbell; and
WHEREAS, 8x8 Inc has agreed to sponsor two Flock Safety ALPR cameras over
a 24 month term; and
WHEREAS, Flock ALPR cameras have shown to reduce crime and have an
immediate impact on public safety; and
WHEREAS, Flock Group Inc will bill 8x8 Inc directly for the cost of the additional
two cameras.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the City accept donations in the amount of $10,700 from 8x8 Inc for the
purposes of funding two Flock Falcon ALPR cameras.
