A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
TO UPDATE THE CAMPBELL COMMUNITY CENTER BUILDING USE POLICY
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell operates the Community Center for a variety of uses
including recreation programs, long-term leased facilities and short-term meeting, athletic
and banquet spaces for private rental; and
WHEREAS, the Campbell Community Center Building Use Policy is designed to set clear
policies, procedures, regulations and fee schedules for the public's use of the City's public
rooms (banquet halls, gymnasiums, meeting rooms, etc.) at the Campbell Community
Center; and
WHEREAS, edits to the Policy related to the public reservation request process available
online, administrative process changes and clarifications on security and janitorial service
procedures were required; and
WHEREAS, updates to the timeline of reservation for the Roosevelt Redwood Room to
be one (1) year in advance, and additional guidelines for rental cancellations and details
related to refundable damage deposits and facility damages are needed to clarify the
expectations of rental clients; and
WHEREAS, the Campbell Community Center Building Use Picnic Policy was last updated
in June 2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby adopts the updated
Campbell Community Center Building Use Policy for the Recreation and Community
Services Department, effective August 16, 2022.
