Gentlemen:
In reference to your let~8I! of July 7, 1972, and my conversation in
the field with the par~ies involved, I watt1d like to advise you of
the City's p08ition in this matter.
1. After presen~1n9 six different alœrnatives for the saniUry
8ewer 8ervice and their respec:t.ive cost difference8, it was
pointed out the impossibilities of each of the alternatives.
2. The cha.t.rllan of the building fund for the church, the Distr Let 4
representative and Tom Glage were advised that two conditions
would have to be met prior to the siqning of any Excavation
Permit.

The first condit.ion is 1:hat an honest effort be made to obtain
the cost of a bore into Campbell Avenue and have these costs
relayed to this office.
4. The second condition is that the cost for open trench pavement
be relayed to this office. The con41t.ion of this trench pave-
ment would be, briefly, no work during' peak of traffic, closure
of one lane at. a ~.1me during construction, backfill pipe with
sand and jet, and the finish pavement to be 12 inches t.hic:k..
until these are completed, the City will not execute an Excavation
Permit.

I refer you to our jobsite meeting of Wednesday,
July 26,1972, in which we discussed the connection
of the church building to the existing 6" sanitary line
in Campbell Avenue. I have contacted various Boreing
Companies who would be able to install the bore with
a guarantee of job, including the necessary bond and
insurance, but due to the small working area involved
in the underground P.T. & T. line I have found that
it is impossible for a Boreing Company to do this
work.
However, we will be able, as your only alternative, to
open cut the street, which involves 45 lineal feet from
the main line to the property line at a cost of $1,800.00.

21.42.090 of the Campbell Municipal Code reads as follows:
Any approval granted under this section shall expire one year after
the date upon which such approval was granted, unless an extension
for such approval is obtained by making written application for same
to the Planning Commission at least fifteen (15) days prior to the
expiration date of such approval.
No building permit shall be issued after the expiration date of any
approval until a new approval has been obtained in the manner provided
for in this Chapter.

1.
Property to be fenced and landscaped as indicated and as added
in "red" on plans.
2.
Landscape plan indicating type of plant material, location of
hose bibs or sprinkler system and type of fencing to be submitted
for approval of the Planning Director at time of application for
building permit. All planter areas to be enclosed within 4" to
6" raised curbs.
3.
Landscaping shall be maintained in accordance with the approved
landscape plan.
4.
Faithful pe~formance bond in the amount of $3,000 to be posted
to insure landscaping, fencing and striping of parking area
within three (3) months of completion of construction, or
applicant may file written agreement to complete landscaping,
fencing and striping of parking area prior to final building
department clearance. '
5.
Trash container(s) of a size and quantity necessary to serve
the development shall be located in area(s) approved by toe
Fire D~partment. Unless other~ise noted, enclosure(s) shall
~onsist of a concrete floor suirounded by a solid wall or fence
and shall have self-closing doors of a size specified by the
fire department. ~
The applicant is notified as part of this application that h~ is
reqúired to meet the following condi~ions in accordance with Ordinances
of the City of Campbell. .
A.
All parking and driveway areas to be developed in compliance
with Section 21.50.010 of the Campbell Municipal Code. All
parking spaces to be provided with appropriate curbs or bumper
guards. Applicant to provide a minimum of 125 parking stalls.
B.
Underground utilities to be provided as required by Section
20.16.070 of the Campbell Municipal Code.
C.
Plans submitted to the building department for plan check shall
indicate clearly the location of all conneC"tions for underground
,utilities including water, sewer, electric, telephone and tele-
vision cables, etc.
Sign application to be submitted in accordance with provisions
of the sign ordinance for all signs. No sign to be installed
until appli~ation is approved and permit issued by the building
department. :
