RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING THE USE OF THE SUPPLEMENTAL LAW ENFORCEMENT
SERVICE FUNDS (SLESF) TO PARTIALLY FUND A COMMUNITY SERVICE
OFFICER AND APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT TO ALLOCATE THE
REMAINING SLESF BALANCE TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF POLICE
EQUIPMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022-23
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell has adopted a budget
for the 2022-2023 fiscal year (FY); and
WHEREAS, The adopted FY 2022-2023 includes an appropriation of
$133,555 of SLESF to partially fund a Community Service Officer; and
WHEREAS, revenue is available from the State of California SLESF
balance; and
WHEREAS, the City has complied with the legal provisions required to
appropriate this revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the City approves use of $133,555 of SLESF to partially fund a
Community Service Officer; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Campbell that the City approves a budget adjustment to appropriate the
remaining SLESF balance ($140,275) for the purchase of police equipment.
