CC Resolution 12896 - The Classification and Salary PlanRESOLUTION NO. 12896 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLAN WHEREAS, Title 2, Section 2.16.020 of the Campbell Municipal Code provides that the City Council may, from time to time, by resolution, change the compensation of employees of said City, and may, by resolution, adopt salary and wage scales; and WHEREAS, California Public Employees' Retirement System (CaIPERS) issued Circular Letter 200-050-16 dated November 4, 2016 as a reminder to employers of the requirements for compensation earnable and publicly available salary schedules; and WHEREAS, all employers must comply with the compensation earnable and publicly available salary schedules provisions contained within California Government Code (GC) section 20636(d) and California Code of Regulations (CCR) 570.5; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City Council to review and duly approve and adopt in accordance with requirements of applicable public meetings laws a publicly available salary schedule; and WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved salary adjustments for benchmarked classifications, and the classifications related to the benchmarked classifications, within the labor groups shown in Table 1 to implement the terms of negotiated agreements with the respective labor groups; and Table 1 — Previously Approved 2022 Special Adjustments by City Council Benchmarked Related Labor Group 2022 Market Adjustment Classification Classification Lighting & Lighting and CARP 9.25% Traffic Signal Traffic Signal Technician Assistant Lighting & Lighting and CARP 9.25% Traffic Signal Traffic Signal Technician Supervisor Recreation Senior Services CMEA 0.57% Supervisor Supervisor WHEREAS, a review of the Salary Plan has been conducted; and WHEREAS, an amendment to the Salary Plan is needed to reflect the previous approvals of the City Council and to fully meet the requirements of Municipal Code Section 2.12.030. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does hereby approve an amendment to the Salary Plan to add salary adjustments for the classifications of Lighting and Traffic Signal Assistant, Lighting and Traffic Signal Supervisor, and Senior Services Supervisor as more fully described in Table 1 of this resolution.
