BEING A RESOULTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL APPROVING EMERGENCY REPAIR OF THE SWIMMING POOL
& REPLACEMENT OF POOL DECK AT THE CAMPBELL COMMUNITY CENTER.
WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority granted to them by
the State of California Public Contracts Code, Chapter 2, Section
22035 States of Emergency, to approve repair or replacement of public
facilities to permit the conduct of operations or services of a
public agency; and
WHEREAS, the gutter drain pipe at the swimming pool at the
Campbell Community Center was damaged during the October 17, 1989
earthquake and must be replaced before the aquatics program can
resume and to prevent further damage to the pool structure from
possible soil erosion;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council authorize
the emergency repair of the swimming pool gutter drain pipes and the
replacement of the pool decking at the Campbell Community Center.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of January, 1990, by the
following vote:
