BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION WITH THE METROPOLITAN
TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR ALLOCATION OF TRANSPORTATION DE-
VELOPMENT ACT FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1990-91
WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act (TDA), as amended (Public
Utilities Code Section 99234, et seq.), provides for the disbursement of
funds from the Local Transportation Fund of the County of Santa Clara for
use by eligible claimants for the purpose of pedestrian/bicycle
facilities; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions to the TDA, as amended, and pursuant
to the applicable rules and regulations thereunder (21 Cal. Admin. Code
sections 6600, et seq.), a prospective claimant wishing to receive an
allocation from the Local Transportation Fund shall file its claim with
the Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and
WHEREAS, TDA funds in the amount of $80,000 from the Local Transportation
Funds will be required by the City of Campbell in fiscal year 1990-91 for
pedestrian/bicycle facilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute and file
an appropriate claim pursuant to the terms of the Transportation
Development Act, as amended, and pursuant to applicable rules and
regulations promulgated thereunder, together with all necessary supporting
documents, with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission for an
allocation of TDA funds in fiscal year 1990-91; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to
the Metropolitan Transportation Commission in conjunction with the filing
of the claim; and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission be requested
to grant the allocation of funds as specified herein.
