CC Resolution 7844RESOLUTION NO. 7844 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL ADOPTING A FEE FOR THE FILING OF INITIATIVES WHEREAS, the California Elections Code was amended in 1987 to require that proponents of any initiative petition file with the City Clerk a notice of intent to circulate petitions (Elections Code Sections 4002 and 4002.5); and WHEREAS, the City is obliged to prepare a ballot title and summary within fifteen days. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: Any person filing a Notice of Intent to circulate a petition with the City Clerk shall pay a fee of two hundred dollars ($200) to be refunded to the filer if, within one year of the filing the notice of intent, the City Clerk certifies the sufficiency of the petition.
