CC Resolution 12937 - First Amendment to the Agreement with CSG Consultants, Inc.RESOLUTION NO. 12937 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH CSG CONSULTANTS, INC. FOR CITY SURVEYOR SERVICES WHEREAS, the Subdivision Map Act requires a California licensed land surveyor to review and sign all subdivision maps as the City Surveyor; and WHEREAS, the City desires to continue consulting services for the purpose of reviewing and signing parcel and tract maps by a licensed land surveyor acting as the City Surveyor; and WHEREAS, on July 1, 2021, the City entered into an agreement with CSG Consultants, Inc. to provide City Surveyor services; and WHEREAS, CSG Consultants has the expertise, means, and ability to perform the services as the City Surveyor; and WHEREAS, the terms of the existing agreement entered into on July 1, 2021 allow for an initial two- year agreement through June 30, 2023 for a not to exceed amount of $60,000 plus the option to include up to five (5) additional one (1) year extensions for a total of seven (7) years; and WHEREAS, each one-year extension would also add an additional $30,000 to the agreement; and WHEREAS, on January 1, 2022, Senate Bill No. 9 went into effect and has since resulted in a significant increase in map review workload, above and beyond the historical projections used to develop the original budget for the CSG Agreement; and WHEREAS, the terms allow the agreement to be amended in writing. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby authorizes the City Manager or his designee to execute a first amendment to the agreement between the City of Campbell and CSG Consultants, Inc. to increase the not to exceed amount for the initial two-year term from $60,000 to $80,000, through June 30, 2023; increase the not to exceed amount previously authorized for the annual extensions from $30,000 to $50,000, to be adjusted annually per the Consumer Price Index for the San Francisco Bay Area; and add to the agreement an additional 15% contingency as necessary based on projections of application trends for future years.
