A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING JAMES REDMOND ON HIS 25 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL
WHEREAS, James Redmond was hired as a temporary fitness instructor for the
City of Campbell in September 1997; and
WHEREAS, James later became the Assistant Swim Coach for the Campbell
Wave Swim Team; and
WHEREAS, James was hired permanently with the City of Campbell as the
Recreation Specialist in the Aquatics Division in August of 2014; and
WHEREAS, James has committed to providing excellent customer service and
training and certifying countless lifeguards during his tenure; and
WHEREAS, training provided by James has resulted in life saving efforts by
lifeguard staff while on duty which have saved lives; and
WHEREAS, James is a critical member of the Recreation and Community
Services Department with his role of supervising the daily operations of the pool; and
WHEREAS, James has built strong relationships within the Campbell Community
and has been a dedicated public servant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
recognizes and commends James Redmond on his retirement from the City of Campbell
after 25 years of service.
