A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAM HOME AND COMMUNITY
BASED SERVICES INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SANTA
CLARA IN FY 22-23 AND APPROVE A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT TO RECOGNIZE AND
APPROPRRIATE RELATED GRANT FUNDS
WHEREAS, in April 2022, Sourcewise invited the Santa Clara County Senior Nutrition Program to
apply for the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Senior Nutrition Infrastructure Grant
Program (NI); and
WHEREAS, the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Infrastructure Grant provides funding
for enhancements to the Senior Nutrition Program dining areas; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Senior Nutrition Program Administrator encouraged Nutrition
sites to submit funding requests and whereby the County would submit one grant application; and
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara was awarded grant funding by the HCBS NI; and
WHEREAS, the grant funding will be administered through the County of Santa Clara Senior Nutrition
Program through an agreement with the City of Campbell; and
WHEREAS, the City will make a budget adjustment to recognize and appropriate related grant funds
to pay for the enhancements and seek reimbursement from the County of Santa Clara per the
agreement; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does hereby
authorize the City Manager to execute the HCBS Infrastructure Funding Agreement with Santa Clara
County to increase funding in the Senior Nutrition Program for FY 22-23.
