CC Resolution 12957 -Accept Grant Funds from (BSCC) for Officer Wellness Program and Budget AdjustmentRESOLUTION NO. 12957 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA OFFICER WELLNESS AND MENTAL HEALTH GRANT PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING A CORRESPONDING BUDGET ADJUSTMENT. WHEREAS, The Campbell Police Department identified a need to address the mental health of its employees due to exposure to high stress and cumulative job -related trauma; and WHEREAS, The Campbell Police Department applied for grant funds from the State of California Officer Wellness and Mental Health Grant Program and was awarded funds in the amount of $30,189.55, to be utilized towards a contract for a dedicated mental health counselor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell that the City accepts grant funds in the amount of $30,189.55 from the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) to help fund the dedicated mental health professional for the Campbell Police Department; and, authorizes a corresponding budget adjustment attached and incorporated by reference to recognize the grant revenue.
