A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
CONGRATULATING NICHOLAS WELZENBACH AS 2022 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS, Nicholas Welzenbach was selected by the Campbell Chamber of
Commerce as the 2022 Citizen of the Year in recognition of his commitment and
significant contributions to the Campbell community, and was honored on March 11,
2023, at the annual "Celebrate Campbell" banquet; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas Welzenbach is a second -generation funeral professional,
serving families for 20 years; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas Welzenbach began his career in San Diego and relocated to the
Bay Area 10 years ago; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas Welzenbach is the Managing Partner of Darling Fischer in
Campbell & Los Gatos and Los Gatos Memorial Park; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas Welzenbach is an active member of the community, serving on
the Board for both the Campbell Chamber and the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce;
and
WHEREAS, Nicholas Welzenbach and his staff work daily to care for families to
reinvent funeral service around Celebrations of Life and by helping families find new
and unique ways to tell their loved ones stories; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas Welzenbach's attitude and community spirit exemplifies the
qualities of the Campbell Citizen of the Year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
congratulates Nicholas Welzenbach on being named Campbell's 2022 Citizen of the
Year and recognizes his service to and involvement in the Campbell community.
