BEING AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
ENACTING AND CONFIRMING THE ADOPTION OF
CHAPTER 21.03 OF THE CAMPBELL MUNICIPAL CODE, REVISED
The City Council of the City of Campbell does ordain as follows:
SECTION ONE: This Ordinance is adopted in accordance with California
Elections Code Section 4017 in order to preserve the public health, safety
and welfare by enacting and confirming the adoption of Chapter 21.03 of
the Campbell Municipal Code, Revised, upon the popular vote of the
electorate.

1. That Section 21.03.010, Chapter 21.03, be added to Title 21
of the Campbell Municipal Code, revised, to read:
CHAPTER 21.03
BUILDING HEIGHT LIMITATION
21.03.010 Maximum Building Height.
(a) No building constructed in the City of Campbell shall
exceed a maximum height of seventy-five (75) feet.
(b) Roof equipment structures for the housing of elevators,
stairways, tanks, ventilating fans or similar equipment may
be erected above the height limit herein prescribed, but no
roof structure or any space above the height limits shall
be allowed for the purpose of providing additional floor
area.
(c) This ordinance shall not apply to projects that have
received final zoning approval from the City of Campbell
for such projects prior to the enactment of this section.
2. That Section 21.02.090 be amended by striking out all of its
present language and replacing it with the following:
21.02.090 - Building Height. "Building height" means the
vertical distance measured from the average elevation at
the finished grade within twenty feet of the structure to
the roof of the building. Roof equipment structures for
the housing of elevators, stairways, tanks, ventilating
fans or similar equipment may be erected above the height
limit, but any such structure or space shall not be
permitted for the purpose of providing additional floor
area for the building.
