CC Ordinance 1620V__ ORDINANCE NO. 1620 BEING AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL ADDING SECTION 21.03.010, AND AMENDING SECTION 21.02.090 OF THE CAMPBELL MUNICIPAL CODE, ENTITLED "BUILDING HEIGHT LIMITATION" The people of the City of Campbell do ordain as follows: SECTION ONE: Section 21.03.010, Chapter 21.03, is hereby added to Title 21 of the Campbell Municipal Code, revised to read: 21.03.010 Maximum Building Height. (a) No building constructed in the City of Campbell shall exceed a maximum height of seventy-five (75) feet. (b) Roof equipment structures for the housing of elevators, stairways, tanks, ventilating fans or similar equipment may be erected above the height limit heresin prescribed, but no roof structure or any space above the height limits shall be allowed for the purpose of providing additional floor area. (c) This ordinance shall apply to projects that have received final zoning approval from the City of Campbell for such projects prior to the enactment of this section. SECTION TWO: Section 21.02.090 is hereby amended, as follows: 21.02.090 - Building Height. "Building height" means the vertical distance measured from the average elevation at the finished grade within twenty feet of the structure to the roof of the building. Roof equipment structures for the housing of elevators, stairways, tanks, ventilating fans or similar equipment may be erected above the height limit, but any such structure or space shall not be permitted for the purpose of providing additional floor area for the building. SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be considered as adopted upon the date that the vote is declared by the legislative body, and shall go into effect 10 days after that date and shall be published once within 15 days upon passage and adoption in the San Jose Mercury News, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Campbell, County of Santa Clara.
