BEING AN ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
A4ENDING SECTIONS 3.20.030, 3.20.050,
AND 3.20.090 OF THE CAMPBELL MUNICIPAL CODE
TO RAISE I14MRMAL PURCHASING LIMITS
WHEREAS, Section 22032 of the California Public Contracts Code permits
projects of less than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) to be performed
by force account, negotiated contract or purchase order if the City has elected
to become subject to the Uniform Cost Accounting Procedures; and
WHERF,AS, Section 22203 of the California Public Contracts Code also
permits projects of less than seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000.00) to be
let by informal procedures if the City has elected to become subject to the
Uniform Cost Accounting Procedures; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has previously elected to become subject to
the Uniform Cost Accounting Procedures;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Campbell does ordain as
follows:
SECTION ONE: The first paragraph of Section 3.20.030 of the Campbell Municipal
Code, Revised, is amended by striking out "fifteen", and replacing it with
"twenty-five", so that the subsection reads:
(1) The estimated value of the supplies, services or equipment is less
than, or equal to, twenty-five thousand dollars;
SECTIO14 TWO: The first paragraph of Section 3.20.050 of the Campbell Municipal
Code, Revised, is amended by striking out "fifteen", and replacing it with
"twenty-five", so that the paragraph reads:
3.20.050 Formal contract procedure. Except as otherwise provided in
this chapter, purchases and contracts for supplies, services, and
equipment of estimated value greater than twenty-five thousand dollars
shall be by written contract with the lowest responsible bidder pursuant
to the procedure prescribed herein as follows:
SECTION THREE: The first paragraph of Section 3.20.090 of the Campbell
Municipal Code, Revised, is amended by striking out "fifty", and replacing it
with "seventy-five", so that the paragraph reads:
3.20.090 Alternative biddinq procedure for public projects --

any contrary provisions of this chapter, and except as otherwise
authorized or required by state or federal law, the bidding procedures of
Section 3.20.050 may be dispensed with for public projects with a value
equal to, or less than, seventy-five thousand dollars, provided that the
following procedures are employed:
