A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING OFFICER JAMES COOPER ON HIS OVER 7 YEARS OF SERVICE TO
THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AND HIS 35 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE
LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSION
WHEREAS, Officer James Cooper became a Police Officer for the City of Campbell
in December 2015; and
WHEREAS, Officer Cooper previously served as Police Officer for the Town of
Hillsborough and the City of San Jose prior to beginning his career with the City of
Campbell; and
WHEREAS, Officer Cooper served the City of Campbell as a Patrol Officer,
Financial Crimes Investigator, Bike Patrol Team member and Field Training Officer; and
WHEREAS, Officer Cooper proudly represented the Campbell Police Department
as a Mounted Unit Officer throughout the state at memorial services and ceremonies in
addition to supporting other agency's Mounted Unit operations; and
WHEREAS, Officer Cooper has always had a commitment to providing excellent
service to the Campbell community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
recognizes and commends Officer James Cooper on his retirement from the City of
Campbell after over 7 years of service and after 35 years of dedicated service to the law
enforcement profession.
