CC Resolution 13032 - Salary Schedule UpdateRESOLUTION NO. 13032 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE SALARY SCHEDULE TO COMPLY WITH CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM (CALPERS) STATUTORY AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPENSATION EARNABLE AND PUBLICLY AVAILABLE PAY SCHEDULES WHEREAS, California Public Employees' Retirement System (CaIPERS) issued Circular Letter 200- 050-16 dated November 4, 2016 as a reminder to employers of the requirements for compensation earnable and publicly available pay schedules; and WHEREAS, all employers must comply with the compensation earnable and publicly available pay schedules provisions contained within California Government Code (GC) section 20636(d) and California Code of Regulations (CCR) 570.5; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City Council to review and duly approve and adopt in accordance with requirements of applicable public meetings laws a publicly available pay schedule; and WHEREAS, attached to this resolution and incorporated by reference is the City's comprehensive Salary Schedule which will be made publicly available on the City's external website and provided upon request; and WHEREAS, this resolution confirms and formally adopts, but does not modify, pay rates previously approved by the City Council via Resolutions 12877 through 12882; and WHEREAS, according to resolutions 12877 through 12882, a four percent (4%) salary increase will apply to the CARP, CPCEA, CMEA, unrepresented unclassified management, classified management, and CONF employee groups, effective from the first full pay period in July 2023; and WHEREAS, this adjustment factors in previously approved Consumer Price Index (CPI) changes and remains in full compliance with the stipulations outlined in GC 20636(d) and CCR 570.5; and WHEREAS, this action aligns with previously ratified Memorandums of Understanding (MOU)s and resolutions related to unrepresented employee groups; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does hereby approve and confirm the aftached Salary Schedule to comply with California Public Employees' Retirement System (CaIPERS) statuary and regulatory requirements for compensation earnable and publicly available pay schedules.
