A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
GRANTING THE CAMPBELL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE'S REQUEST FOR
A FEE WAIVER WITH THE CITY CHARGING THE CAMPBELL CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE NO MORE THAN $35,000 IN PERMIT FEES
WHEREAS, in June 2023, the Campbell Chamber of Commerce (Chamber)
applied to the City of Campbell (City) for a Downtown Special Event Permit
(Permit) that would allow the Chamber to hold its Oktoberfest in Downtown
Campbell from Saturday October 21, 2023, through Sunday October 22, 2023;
and
WHEREAS, the Chamber also requested the City grant a fee waiver for the
Permit fees charged by the City such that the total permit fees not exceed
$35,000; and
WHEREAS, on October 3, 2023, the City Council determined that based on the
information the Chamber provided, the Chamber had met all the requirements to
support the issuance of a Downtown Special Event Permit and thereafter did
authorize the issuance of a Downtown Special Event Permit; and
WHEREAS, the City Council also determined that based on the information the
Chamber provided, the Chamber was eligible for a fee waiver for permit fees due
to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council determined that it would be reasonable to grant the
Chamber's request that the permit fee charged to the Chamber for the Downtown
Special Event Permit not exceed $35,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell does hereby grant the Chamber's request for a fee waiver with the City
charging no more than $35,000 for the Chamber's Downtown Special Event
Permit related to the Chamber's 2023 Oktoberfest.
