A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) TO
SOLICIT OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES OF THE CAMPBELL
HERITAGE THEATRE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE A
SERVICES AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has adopted a business model for the Campbell
Heritage Theatre that relies on the selection of a qualified firm to manage and oversee
the daily operations of the Theatre; and
WHEREAS, the existing operation and management agreement has been in effect for a
period of over ten years; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the City's best interest to seek qualified firms to operate
and manage the Heritage Theatre; and
WHEREAS, the contract calls for persons specially trained, experienced, and competent
to perform the specialized services required; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council approves the issuance of
an RFQ to identify qualified firms to operate and manage the Heritage Theatre and to
authorize the City Manager to negotiate a new service agreement.
