A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
CHANGING THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING START TIME FROM 7:30 PM TO 7:00
PM ON THE FIRST AND THIRD TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH
WHEREAS, Campbell City Council Ordinance #1387, as subsequently amended by
Ordinance # 2117, established the meeting times of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council shall hold regular and special meetings as necessary to
conform to the requirements of Chapter 2.04.020 of the Campbell Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, authorizing the City Council to establish regular meeting dates or times by
resolution, rather than by ordinance, will reduce the staff cost of changing the date or
times of meetings, will allow the City Council to establish meeting dates that are in the
interest of the public, and will allow for increased public participation at City Council
meetings.; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.04.020 provides that regular meetings of the City Council shall be
held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the hour of seven-thirty p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adjust the start time of its regular meetings from
seven-thirty p.m. to seven p.m.;
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance 2302 at their regular meeting of
February 6, 2024 setting provisions in the Campbell Municipal Code to allow adjustments
to the City Council regular meeting times to be established by resolution.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the-City of Campbell
hereby approves its new regular meeting start time of 7:00 p.m., with meetings to be held,
on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AMENDING CHAPTER 2.04 OF THE CAMPBELL MUNICIPAL CODE
REGARDING COUNCIL MEETING —TIMES AND LOCATION AND ESTABLISHING THAT
REGULAR MEETING DATES OR TIMES OF THE CITY COUNCIL SHALL BE SET BY
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Campbell City Council Ordinance #1387, as subsequently amended by Ordinance # 2117,
established the meeting times of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council shall hold regular and special meetings as necessary to conform to the
requirements of Chapter 2.04.020 of the Campbell Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, authorizing the City Council to establish regular meeting dates or times by resolution, rather

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: 2.04.020 of the Campbell Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows with
strikethroughs (strikethroughs) indicating deleted text, and underlining (underlining) indicating added text:
2.04.020 — Meetings —Time and Location.
Meetings of the City Council shall be regularly held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month,
at the hour of seven thirty p.m. as set by resolution of the City Council and at such times to which
regular meetings may be adjourned. The official place for the holding of such meetings is
established to be the Campbell City Hall Council Chamber. Special meetings may be held
pursuant to the provisions of general laws as the same now exist or may be hereafter amended.
The rcgular mceting date or time may be adjusted by majority vote of the City Council.
