CC Resolution 13130 - Contract with MIG, Inc for Development of Parks and Recreation Master Plan RESOLUTION NO.13130 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AWARDING A STANDARD CONSULTANT AGREEMENT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PARKS AND RECREATION MASTER PLAN IN THE AMOUNT OF $209,970 WITH MIG,INC; AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECTUE SAID AGREEMENT; APPROVE A CORRESPONDING BUDGET ADJUSTMENT; AUTHORIZE THE RECREAITON AND COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS IF NEEDED UP TO THE TO 10% CONTINGENCY OF $20,970. WHEREAS, on December 5, 2023 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 13089, authorizing the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the development of the City's Parks and Recreation Master Plan; and WHEREAS, after issuance of the RFP, the City receive six proposals; and WHEREAS, MIG, Inc of Berkeley was found to be the most qualified for the work; and WHEREAS, on June 20, 2023 the City Council adopted the FY 2024 budget approving an appropriation of$200,000 to complete the Parks and Recreation Master Plan; and WHEREAS, the cost proposal from MIG to complete the project is $209,700; and WHEREAS, to cover the additional cost in FY 2024, staff recommends a budget adjustment of$9,700; and WHEREAS, a 10% contingency of $20,970 for contract amendments will be included in the FY25 Operating Budget for the City Council to approve; and WHEREAS, the Recreation and Community Services Director will have the authority to execute contract amendments up to the approved 10% contingency if needed; and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby adopt a resolution to award a consultant service agreement with MIG, Inc, in the amount of $209,700 for the development of a Parks and Recreation Master Plan and authorize the City Manager to execute said agreement and authorize the corresponding budget adjustment. FURTHER IT BE RESOLVED, that the Recreation and Community Services Director is authorized to make contract amendments up to the approved 10% contingency of$20,970 if needed.
