CURTNER AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS
Dear Mr. Myall:
Enclosed are three copies of a grant deed for a triangular piece
across the easterly portion of your property on Curtner Avenue.
If you dedicate this additional triangle of 66 square feet, the City
will vacate to you a triangular strip of 263 square feet across the
westerly portion of your property and relocate the existing improve-
ments to provide an additional ten feet of travelled way in Curtner
Avenue,at no cost to you.
Drawings are enclosed that show the piece to be vacated to you and the
modifications to the street improvements.
If you are agreeable to this proposed exchange, please return two
copies of the enclose&. deed, signed and notarized.

The site of the work shall be enclosed by suitable barricades, signs and lights, as approved by State's
representative, to warn and protect traffic effectively.
Excavations made within the limitS of the highway shall be backfiIled before leaving the work for the
night unless other wise authorized by State's representative. After backfilling the trench, temporary
surfacing shall be placed if required by State's representative.

Open trenching is authorized, one lane at a time, with necessary traffic control as required by State's
representative to keep traffic moving in both directions during working hours with as little incon-
venience thereto as possible; and if at the end of the working day backfilling operations have not been
properly completed, steel bridging shall be required to make the entire highway facility available to
the traveling public.

The length of open trench at the end of the day's work shall be determined by State's representative.

Trench backfill shall conform to Section 19-3.06 of the State's Standard Specifications and the cur-
rent edition of the Standard Plans. Tests for relative compaction of structUre backfill material used in
backfilling trenches may be made in accordance with Test Method No. California 231 (Nuclear
gauge). Any base, surfacing or pavement shall be replaced in kind, or as otherwise required by State's
representative.

No tree roots two inches or more in diameter .shall be cut. Material shall .beremoved from around
root system so as to avoid damage thereto. Roots shall be protected with burlap wrapping while
exposed.

The pipe shall be placed through a metal sleeve installed under and across the highway by boring or
jacking without distUrbing the pavement and shoulders.

request of the Deparlment, be imme-

b) Utility Moves Ordered by Cal-
trans. If the installation made under
a permit Is being relocated In accor-
dance with Ca!trans "Notice to Re-
locate Utility Facility," the permittee
shall have the same and no greater
rtghts as relocated as It enjoyed prtor
to moving at Caltrans' order.
c) Utiltty in Freeway. ThIs section
and the otner sections of these General
ProvIsions are subject to Article 2.5
of Chapter 3 of DMslon 1 of the
Streets and Highways Code and other
applicable law, and In the case of any
inconsistency. the said Article 2.5 or

The location and kind of trees to be planted shall
be as specified in the provisions of this permit.

Planting and Maintenance Cost:
The Permittee must bear the cost of
planting the trees.
The arrangement as to maintenance of the trees
shall be specifically set forth in the provis1ons of th1s perm1t.
In
particular cases arrangements may be made for the Grantor to do this
work upon deposit of a certain sum for each tree which is to be
planted.
The Grantor reserves the right to assume the maintenance or
to decline to do so as conditions justify.

All parking and driveway areas to be developed in compliance with
Section 21.50 of the Campbell Municipal Code. All parking spaces

requirement applies to all single-family dwellings, multiple apart-
ment units, to all commercial, business, industrial, manufacturing,
and construction establishments.
Trash container(s) of a size and quantity necessary to serve the
development shall be located in area(s) approved by the Fire De-
partment. Unless otherwise noted, enclosure(s) shall consist of
a concrete floor surrounded by a solid wall or fence and have
self-closing doors of a size specified by the Fire Department.
All enclosures to be constructed at grade level~ and have a level
area adjacent to the trash enclosure area to service these containers.
Applicant shall comply with all appropriate State and City re-
quirements for the handicapped.
Noise levels for the interior of residential units shall comply
with minimum State (Title 25) and local standards as indicated
in the Noise Element of the Campbell General Plan.
Applicant is hereby notified that he will be required to pay
Park Dedication In-Lieu Fee which will be assessed at the time
the subdivision map is submitted.
STANDARD FIRE HAZARD ABATEMENT COMMENT: The applicant is hereby notified that
