Stephens City Manager City of Campbell 75 North Central Avenue Campbell, California 95008 Dear Mr. Stephens: In reply to your recent inquiry as to whether or not Shell would be willing to put in street improvements at our property at Hamilton and Almarida Avenue in Campbell, I have delayed my response because we were actively engaged in negotiations with an interested developer. Should these negotiations have been consummated successfully I could have given you an exact time when the necessary street work would be accomplished. However, these negotiations have fallen through and I cannot give you an estimate of a likely time of development for this property. In view of the approximate cost of $35,000 to complete the required street improvements and in view of the now uncertain time that the property will be developed, we would like to defer any street work until such time as the property is closer to development than it now appears. Should the City wish to undertake the street work now for their own account, we would be willing to dedicate the land to the City under such conditions. Should you wish to discuss any aspects of this, I would be glad to meet with you and other city officials at any time convenient to you. ~V~y t:uly yours, . '//i)~ \.. / (/ .'
