RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL IN SUPPORT
OF WEST VALLEY-MISSION COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT'S MEASURE H
(BALLOT MEASURE TO ISSUE $235 MILLION IN BONDS FOR VARIOUS COMMUNITY
COLLEGE REPAIRS AND TO UPGRADE JOB TRAINING PROGRAMS)
WHEREAS, Measure H will provide funds to repair and improve West Valley-Mission
Community College District's facilities;
WHEREAS, Measure H funds will repair and upgrade faculties to train nurses, firefighters
and emergency medical technicians;
WHEREAS, Measure H funds will improve the safety of campus buildings;
WHEREAS, Measure H funds will expand building used to re-train local workers who have
been laid off;
WHEREAS, the aging West Valley and Mission Community Colleges need attention now
before the problem worsens and repairs become even more costly; and
WHEREAS, this measure will appear on the November 2, 2004 ballot as Measure H, and,
if approved by Santa Clara County voters, will provide funding to provide District repairs
and program upgrades.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Campbell endorses Measure H on
the November 2, 2004 ballot and encourages voters in Campbell to vote in favor of this.
