RESOLUTION NO.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO REJECT ALL BIDS FOR A NEW HV AC
SYSTEM FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT CIP #98-08.
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously approved $1,000,000 in the
Capital Improvement Project budget for the Police Department remodel project
(CIP#98-08); and
WHEREAS, a Call for Bids has been issued, and bids have been
received; and
WHEREAS, the low bid for the specified services was $314,000 and
WHEREAS, estimated funds required for this portion of the project were
expected to be $195,000;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
reject all bids for the HV AC portion of the Police department remodel project and
authorizes staff to re-bid it with modifications to obtain a price more consistent
with the Engineer's estimate.
