RESOLUTION NO. 10426 BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL DECLARING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND RESULT OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2,2004 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell duly called and ordered held in said City a General Municipal Election on the 2nd day of November, 2004, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors thereof the election of two City Councilmembers, one City Clerk, and one City Treasurer. WHEREAS, said General Municipal Election was held on Tuesday, November 2, 2004, and in accordance with the law and the votes thereat received and canvassed, and the returns thereof ascertained, determined and declared in all respects as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell as follows: 1. That the City Clerk of the City of Campbell be and she is hereby instructed to enter this resolution on the minutes of the City Council as a statement of the result of said election. 2. That the whole number of ballots cast in said City at said General Municipal Election was 15,715, or 69.2%. 3. That at said election the following candidates were submitted to the electors of said City and that the number of votes given in said City for each of said candidates were as follows: CANDIDATE (City Council) TOT AL VOTES Donald R. Burr Joe Hernandez Evan Dea Low Tim Mason George Doorley 5,161 5,042 4,660 3,763 2,591 CANDIDATE (City Clerk) TOTAL VOTES Anne Coyne Bybee 10,726 CANDIDATE (City Treasurer) TOTAL VOTES Gerald E. Kennedy 10,957 4. That by said Resolution calling said General Municipal Election for said City of Campbell was divided into twenty-one (21) voting precincts for the purpose of said election, and that the number of votes cast in each of said precincts was as attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked "Exhibit A." 5. That all absent voters' ballots have been duly received and canvassed in time for and in the manner required by law, and the result is outlined in "Exhibit A. " 6. That the following candidates elected and following Measures approved are: CITY COUNCIL (2 Seats) Donald R. Burr Joe Hernandez CITY CLERK (1 Seat) Anne Coyne Bybee CITY TREASURER (1 Seat) Gerald Kennedy 7. That the terms of office shall be for a four (4) year term, expiring November, 2008.
