RESOLUTION NO. 10286
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
INDICATING THE CITY'S INTENTION TO ENTER INTO A PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH
THE CITIES OF SANTA CLARA AND MONTE SERENO
TO PURCHASE AN ANIMAL SHELTER FACILITY TO BE OPERATED
BY THE SILICON V ALLEY ANIMAL CONTROL AUTHORITY (SV ACA)
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell, as well as the cities of Santa Clara and Monte Sereno have
elected to remain members of the Silicon Valley Animal Control Joint Powers Authority, and
WHEREAS, the Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority Board of Directors has approved the
purchase of a building to be used as an Animal Shelter, and
WHEREAS, in order to continue with the Animal Shelter acquisition process, the remaining
SV A VCA cities are required to indicate their intention to enter into a purchase agreement, and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has a Capital Improvement Project in place for this purpose
and funding is available;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby intends, along with the cities of Santa Clara and Monte Sereno, to purchase a building to be
used as an Animal Shelter to be operated by the Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority.
