RESOLUTION NO. 10295
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL HONORING
JIM FREE AS 2003 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS, Jim Free has been selected by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce as 2003
Citizen of the Year for his long-time commitment to the City as a community volunteer, and
will be honored at the Chamber of Commerce annual" Celebrate Campbell" banquet on March
27,2004; and
WHEREAS, Jim Free is an active member of the Campbell Kiwanis Club having served as
President and Kiwanian of the Year, and was the recipient of the "Distinguished Kiwanian"
award; and
WHEREAS, Jim Free served on the Campbell Chamber of Commerce Board for nine years
and has consistently donated his time working on Chamber fundraising events such as the
annual Boogie on the Bayou and Oktoberfest; and
WHEREAS, following graduation from San Jose State University with a degree in Business,
Jim Free focused his business career in real estate and today serves as a Senior Certified
Commercial Broker for Coldwell Banker Commercial in an office located in downtown
Campbell; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
recognizes and honors Jim Free on being named 2003 Campbell's Citizen of the Year in
recognition of his service to the Campbell community and his continued involvement in
business and civic affairs.
