A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL APPROVING
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING
CALL FOR BIDS - CAMPBELL A VENUENICTOR A VENUE SIGNALIZATION
PROJECT (03-11)
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell was awarded $200,000 from the Federal Hazard
Elimination Safety (HES) Grant Program for fiscal year 2002/03 for the Campbell AvenueNictor
Avenue Signalization Project (03-11); and
WHEREAS, total funding appropriated in the FY 2003/04 Operating Budget is $200,000;
and
WHEREAS, the Project would install a traffic signal at the Campbell A venueNictor A venue
intersection; and
WHEREAS, the project plans, specifications and estimates have been completed; and
WHEREAS, the signalization of CampbellNictor will greatly improve traffic safety for both
motorists and pedestrians and result in less than significant traffic diversion onto Victor Avenue and
less than significant impacts to Campbell Avenue driveway access.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby approves the project plans and specifications for the Campbell A venueNictor A venue Traffic
Signalization Project (03-11), and authorizes the Public Works Director to solicit formal bids for the
project construction.
