A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
A WARDING THE CONTRACT FOR PROJECT 00-11 CRISTICHlMcGLINCY LANE
STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS TO SANCO PIPELINES, INc. IN THE AMOUNT
OF $536,685.00; AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR, OR HIS
DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT; ENCUMBERING A 20%
CONSTRUCTION CONTINGENCY OF $107,337.00
AND APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT.
WHEREAS, on May 18, 2002, the City Council approved the plans and specifications for
Project 00-11 Cristich/McGlincy Lane Storm Drain Improvements; and
WHEREAS, re-bids for this project were opened on July 21, 2004 and Sanco Pipelines,
Inc., has been determined to be the lowest responsive bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby awards the contract for Project 00-11 Cristich/McGlincy Lane Storm Drain
Improvements to Sanco Pipelines, Inc. in the amount of $536,685.00; authorizes the
encumbrance of $107,337.00 as a 20% construction contingency; authorizes the Public Works
Director, or his designee, to execute the contract and to negotiate and execute contract change
orders up to and within the contingency amount; and approves the attached budget adjustment.
